The Donegal March was a military region of the combined Federated Commonwealth, based in the Lyran half of the superstate.

History[edit]

After the setbacks during the War of 3039, the Federated Commonwealth decided to completely reorganize its military into a single entity. [1]

The Donegal March was formed from the interior portions of the old Protectorate of Donegal, with the Periphery and Free Worlds League facing portions of the Protectorate forming the Periphery March and Tamarind March, respectively. The March was comprised of the Alarion Operations Area, the Coventry Operations Area, and the Pherkad Operations Area.[2]

In 3057, Katherine Steiner-Davion claimed the title of Archon and severed the Lyran half of the Commonwealth, renaming it the Lyran Alliance and abandoning the AFFC. With this move, the Donegal March was effectively dissolved, with the Donegal March Militia reorganized into the new Province Militias.
