History
During the Fifth Wave of Operation Revival Hainfeld was conquered by Clan Wolf in December 3051. Involving the Green Keshik, Dornbeng and Nega Garrison Clusters, the invasion was meant to be a test for the normally underappreciated freeborn and aging trueborn Clan warriors. At the time the planet was defended by the 2nd Freemen along with the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Hainfeld Militia Brigades, under the overall command of Överste Rhett Weaver. The defenders were arrayed around the capital Hainfeld Central and outnumbered the attackers, forcing Galaxy Commander Anton Fetladral to reconsider his earlier plan to take the planet. Taking notice of the city's sprawling, open parks and the lack of enemy aerospace cover, the Galaxy Commander had his forces perform a combat drop at night, landing directly inside the city. Unwilling to bring harm upon the city's inhabitants the 2nd Freemen skirmished only briefly, at Pancake Ridge, Heffer Vale and Quarter Ravine, before withdrawing to Carse.[1]
