The Illician Order was an ancient military brotherhood from Terra

The Illician Order was based out of Illicia on the island of Sicily. They became notable when they formed the mercenary unit Illician Lancers in 2572.[1]
The Lancers worked for every Star League member state and also for the SLDF over the next two centuries. Unluckily for the Order, the Lancers weren't on Terra when the Amaris Civil War erupted, the Lancers continued to serve the SLDF, generally in a support capacity. Those who survived the campaign journeyed to Illicia to pay their respects to the fallen, only to discover that the home of their order had been completely levelled, and it wasn't rebuilt.[2]
However, the Lancers never forget their origins, recovering a stone arch incomplete, under which they made swearing ceremonies. On 17 June 3151, Clan Sea Fox saKhan Ya'el Labov made a commercial deal with the Lancers, giving them a present: the keystone of the original Illician Brotherhood on Sicily, and the promise that, if they accepted, they would be given the monastery's remains and the surrounding land in perpetuity. Labov's offer was accepted.[3]
