Description
Jabberwocky is a mid-size fusion powered Industrial Mech designed for construction, salvage, and support roles. It is noted for its semi-modular arm and backpack accessories, which it allows to change out equipment for diffierent tasks. It tech is similar to the later Mercury BattleMech noted semi-modular design features.
Original built by Jalastar Aerospace as Military Support 'Mech in 26th Century, where it failed to live up to it expectations. Where the 66A Model was given failure five hundred twenty years ago, the re-designed JAB-66B Jabberwocky made up for its ancestor's failures in spades. Jalastar re-introduced the Industrial Mech in 3069 help meet the demands for durable support machines during the breakout of the Jihad. The 66B is its Salvage variant of the Jabberwocky line. The industrial Mech's semi-modular has allowed for Jalastar sell upgrade packs for the Mech. To allow customers to easily modified Jaberwocky with other equipment for diffrient tasks.
Equipment and Features
The Jabberwocky 66B's far more versatile than its precessor, with it being equipt with a fusion engine. The 'Mech's mobility has increased inspeed and in addition of three Panpour Specials Jump Jets. This give the 'Mech jump capacity of 90 meters. Jabberwocky has been given a pair of tracks to allow for easier navigation on the roads.
The mech uses Salvage Arm mounted in place of it right arm, and Spot Welder in its left. Mounted on its back of its torses, the Industrial Mech has two hoist lifts. With addition of Industrial TSM, this give the mech capacity carry up to 100 tons.
For hazardous environments from underwater, radioactive battlefields, and even vaccum of space, the mech has been given Environmental Sealing. It is also equipt with a Search Light for night activities.
Cargo
No Cargo bays, but with two hoist lifts, it can carry hundred tons of equipment.
Variants
*JAB-66A - The original model of the Jabberwocky during Age of War, the mech was equipt with a Fuel Cell Engine. The design had limited equipment, considerably less armor and no Jump Jets.
*JAB-66C "Demolition Variant" - The spot welder swapped out for rock cutter and removes the left lift hoist.
*JAB-66D "Construction Variant" - A pair of nail/rivet guns adding to the machine, one per arm with ton of rivets/nails between them. Left lift hoist is removed for a one ton internal cargo capacity.
