Kritsada Sirisopa, (born 3116) was one of the key leaders of the reborn Tamar Pact.

Personal History

The son of a well-respected Nagelring literature professor and one of Tharkad's foremost poets, both his parents expected his son to parlay her mother's connections to enter in the prestigious Lyran academy, made a brief career as LCAF officer, and then focus on academic pursuits... but he didn't chose to.[1]

Krit spent his early years nearby of future officers he considered soft and entitled soured him on the future expected from him. When he reached eighteen years, enlisted on the LCAF, determined to earn his way there. Krit rose steadly if not spectaculary through the ranks, buoyed by its positive attitude and a reputation of success. He never was a flashy MechWarrior, but earned a battlefield commission for his heroism during the Battle of Tharkad, when he organized two ad hoc lances to box in a Star of Wolves rampaging through Tharkad City and was assigned as lieutenant-colonel to the 26th Arcturan Guardshe found a kindred spirit on general Sarah Regis.[2]

The 20 June 3151, Sirisopa assisted at a meeting with Regis and her other officers, deciding if move the 26th to Arcturus, as the Jade Falcons have abandoned it. The general wanted to go there, in which she named Operation Rubicon, by her own initiative. When the officers voted, Krit took a long time to answer, but his answer was affirmative, like of all other officers.[3] Sirisopa suported his unit, and Regis actions, even after she decided to de facto defect the LMAF and recreate the Tamar Pact. After their declaration, it was Krit the one who suggested what to do with the unit's Lyran loyalists: to let them go freely.[4] Ironically, Sirisopa was one of those most affected by the defections: though the total numbers was limited, he losed two of his most valuable assistants: the brothers Ronan Carlyle and Isobel Carlyle.[5]

After declaring the Pact's reformation, Regis rechristened the three light combat teams of the 26th as the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Tamar Jaegers. Sirisopa became the leader of the 1st Tamar Jaegers, and on a meeting the 24th September, Regis sent the 1st to their first combat mission: to attack and take the planet Kerensky's Vision, and specially Camp Crichell, a Falcon training base, with orders to capture all Falcon's cadets as possible as bondsmen.[6] Once on destiny, the leader Falcon, a Falconer named Derwin (Clan Jade Falcon) answered Sirisopa's call. Krit insulted him deliberately, to make him reckless and imprudent. Both leaders agreed to fight a Trial of Position for the planet.[7] The Falcon Trinary presented a pitiful state: almost all their 'Mechs were described as a step from the junkyard. Only Derwin's Marauder IIC was intact. Krit suspected Derwin had something in mind... and his suspicions proved true: the Falconer, a fanatical follower of the Mongol Doctrine wanted to kill everybody, including the Jaegers, his cadets and Camp Crichel's people, using two old Davy Crockett nukes.[8] But Krit's quick thinking saved the day: the Jaegers gave ground, attracting the Falcons, send a team of armoured infantry to take the missiles, and jamming all frequencies. Even knowing his ruse had been discovered, Derwin pressed the attack, and the Jaegers engaged the cadets. Krit fought personally the falcon leader, giving him several opportunities to surrender, but he refused, so Sirisopa had to shoot him, killing him instantly. Later he engaged a Hunchback IIC, cutting both his legs. The OmniMech fell to ground, the last Falcon one top do it.[9].

After taking the base, Krit had an interview with the Hunchback pilot, an adolescend cadet named Rebecca (Clan Jade Falcon) of Hazen Bloodhouse. She was very arrogant and hostile, but after subduing her when she attacked him, and tell her the Falcon's atrocities, managed to make her hesitate about her conviction.[10] After the 1st Jaegers returned to Arcturus, Sirisopa's had took Rebecca's as his bondsmen, and as such assisted to a meeting of the Pact's high officers.[11] Krit teached Rebecca silat Pattani, a form of martial arts, knife throwing and even some style of cook.[12] All Krit's training proved its worth the 27th April of 3152, when he and Rebecca assisted at a ducal marriage on Arcturus ducal palace: a group of rogue Falcons infiltrated on the wedding and attempted to assasinate the pact's leadership... but they meet an unexpected opposition.[13] When a fake server attempted to kill Sirisopa, Rebecca wounded him with a throwing knife. After he was killed by a soldier, she took the dead's gun and handed it to Krit. Soon after, the group find another rogue Falcon which had wounded Arcturus' duke, Sebastian Fyhne. Rebecca engaged the shooterscreeching a battle cry. That surprised the other Flacon, and Rebecca killed him with her knives, before tending the duke, saving him.[14] For her heroic actions, Krit cut Rebecca's boncords the same day, freeing her and welcoming the girl to Tamar's army. She, deeply moved, requested to renounce her claim to the Bloodhouse Hazen, asking to be called Rebella Sirisopa. Krit agreed, and embraced the young girl which was now, de facto, her stepdaughter.[15]

Personality

Kritsada proved himself a very effective member of the officer corps he disdained so much. The troops respected his approachability, experience as enlisted man, and unwillingness to waste their lives without good cause. Unfortunately, Krit's new rank also embittered him more toward his fellow officers' incompetence and passive attitude, so inefectual to face threats to the lyran people. As leader of the First tamar Jaegers, he was an unvaluable asset building the esprit de corps of the unit, and preserving and expanding the Pact's limited resources.[16]

BattleMech

Sirisopa's 'Mech was an assault-class Cygnus.[17]
