Planetary History[edit]
Star League Era[edit]
Qualip was settled mainly thanks to the efforts of House Fyhne, which wanted to create a private paradise. The system was named after the patriarch's Klaas Fyhne's imaginary friend, and was terraformed and turned inhabitable, though it was a private effort, mainly. the planet wasn't open to colonization until 2753.[37]
Succession Wars Era[edit]
The Fyhne's used the end of the Star League to make Qualip attractive to the LCAF, convincing them to create a supply base, using the system to launch raids against the Draconis Combine. However, after several successful ones, the Kuritans eventually uncovered the truth and send a small task force to bombard the system, destroying all orbital facilities and razing almost all cities with orbital bombardment. Theorically, the planet was razed, without survivors, and the LCAF didn't bother to search for survivors, but there were thousands, and the Lodge survived intact.[38]
Clan Invasion Era[edit]
The Clans, during the Clan Invasion, showed a great interest in the apparently Dead Worlds. They were the first to explore and colonize Qualip in decades.[39]
Dark Age Era[edit]
By 3107, the Wolves had renamed the planet Kerensky's Vision, after Nicholas Kerensky's vision to rebuild the Inner Sphere squandered worlds. As they began seriously colonizing the planet nearby the old capital of New Malibu, the Commonwealth hired the mercenary unit Ronin, to launch a scouting mission. The mercenaries caused some damage but it didn't hinder the colonization efforts.
After the Wolves departed, Clan Wolf-in Exile settled the planet. They were the first one to contact the Lodgers, the original survivors' descendants. The Exiles' rule was a very benign one.[37]
At the late Dark Age Era, Clan Jade Falcon came, attracted by the reputation of the planet's wasteland. They established a hazardous-environment training base on planet, Camp Crichell, to train sibkos there in harsh climates. When the locals resisted to the Falcon's exigences, the Falcons slaughtered about 40.000 Lodgers in barely a month.[40][41]
ilClan Era[edit]
In 3151, after the Falcon's Occupation Zone became the chaotic Hinterlands, Hauptmann-General Sarah Regis established the new Tamar Pact. One of her first military movement was to send the First Tamar Jagers to take Camp Crichell and use it to train the Pact's new forces. The task force leader, Colonel Kritsada Sirisopa easily crushed the Falcon's falconers and sibko Trinary, killing the first and taking the young ones Bondsmen, incorporating the world to the Pact.[42]
The Tamar pact forces were welcomed by the natives, though the Falcon's lower caste weren't so happy. Regis solved the problem allowing the Alyina Mercantile League and Clan Sea Fox to create two trading enclave on planet, where they took care of the former Clan Wolf and Falcon civilians.
The Tamars turned the planet too into a major trading post, attracting heavy investment both from buyers and sellers.[41]
Geography[edit]
Kerensky's Vision has seven continents named Xanadu, Lemuria, New Mizar, Spuffy, Oz, Fyhneland, and Shangri-la.[35]
