Planetary History[edit]

Jihad Era[edit]

On 1 August 3068, while Gannon's Cannons garrisoned the planet's main facility Caine Genome Research Center when the mysterious Green Ghosts arrived on planet. Well-trained, well-equipped and strongly disciplined, the unit pressed the attack when they found the mercenaries and despite being heavily outnumbered, the Ghosts nearly broke their lines before being driven back. And just as things seemed could end well, a Clan Jade Falcon force appeared also ready to raid the planet. They started shooting both the Green Ghost and the mercenaries. The Green Ghosts decided to leave in the ensuing chaos, so the Jade Falcons kept pressing, but they found Gannon Derer wanting. After having taken out three Falcon Mechs, a Star Captain in an Executioner challenged him. After their Star Captain went down, the Falcons retreated, leaving the mercenaries holding the battlefield. IE lost about a third of their buildings, but their casualties were be light.[37]

Between 25 November and 27 December 3068, Clan Jade Falcon raided again Tomans with their Alpha Galaxy[38] at the same time that Clan Wolf did. The Falcons found a research facility that apparently held Iron Wombs and related materials. This facility was protected by a small mercenary unit that was destroyed by the Falcons. They also destroyed the facility itself.[39]

Clan Wolf attacked and conquered Tomans during the second half of January 3070 as one of a series of assaults into Lyran Alliance space, shadowing the path taken by Clan Jade Falcon, who were also using the disruption caused by the Jihad to annex a number of Lyran worlds.[27] The Sixth Lyran Guards (which had been deprived of their transport) along with the Tamar Cavaliers faced off against Clan Wolf forces on Tomans in 3070 until they were too heavily damaged. The few survivors surrendered.[40]

Dark Age[edit]

Abandoned by Clan Wolf in 3137 when they migrated deeper into the Inner Sphere, Tomans was under Jade Falcon rule by 3140.[33]

ilClan Era[edit]

Following the collapse into anarchy of the Jade Falcon Occupation Zone in 3151, Tomans' ruling civilians decided that they would rather be absorbed by the resurrected Tamar Pact than the Rasalhague Dominion and dispatched an emissary to Arcturus. Negotiations began in January 3152 and ended with Pact leader General Sarah Regis agreeing to welcome Tomans into her new nation, accepting the inhabitants' condition that their Clan culture be retained. Diplomats and a battalion of Pact troops were sent to smooth Tomans' entry into the Pact.[41]

Within six months of joining the Tamar Pact, Tomans found itself attacked by Dominion forces who engaged the garrison there.[42]
