Planetary History[edit]
Fourth Succession War[edit]
In mid-3029, following several months of consolidation in the aftermath of Operation GÖTTERDÄMMERUNG, the Lyran Commonwealth went on the offensive again in the Trellshire and Tamar theaters of operation. While a large part of the Lyran Commonwealth Armed Forces' attention went into trying to win ongoing conflicts on a handful of worlds, seven new planetary assaults were launched. Galuzzo, defended only by militia units, was one of the seven worlds targeted and was swiftly conquered.[43]
Clan Invasion[edit]
Galuzzo was invaded by Clan Wolf in February 3052, just one of many planets targeted in the Fifth Wave of Operation REVIVAL. The invading Fourth Striker Cluster initially confronted the defending First and Third Galuzzo Mechanized Brigades, each composed of one armored and two mechanized infantry regiments, at Monte Forte de Lemos. While the Clan warriors had little trouble defeating the militia, they ran into unexpected difficulty along their way to the planet's capital city Quiroga when the militia began to launch what were essentially suicide attacks. A swift strike on Quiroga put an end to these attacks and secured the planet for Clan Wolf.[44]
Military Deployment[edit]

- First Galuzzo Mechanized Brigade (until February)[44]
- Third Galuzzo Mechanized Brigade (until February)[44]
Geography[edit]
The database of the (apocryphal) 1989 video game MechWarrior, set around the year 3025, gives a population of 2,945 million for Galuzzo and describes the environment as "tropical" (out of only three impressions of planetary environments given in the game, these being "desert," "ice," and "tropical"). The description one-liner reads "Exotic wines and the best pizza in known space."
