The Biota system was home to at least one habitable world or construct and as of 3151 was located in the Clan Hell's Horses Occupation Zone.[1]

System Description[edit]

The Biota system was located near the Cusset and Rastaban systems.[2][3]

System History[edit]

Biota was settled by the Lyran Commonwealth during the Star League era at some point after the end of the Reunification War.[4][5]

Clan Invasion[edit]

In February 3052 Biota was conquered by Clan Wolf as part of the Fifth Wave of Operation REVIVAL. The planet had previously been ignored by Clan Wolf since it was of no strategic importance to their campaign, but when neither Clan Jade Falcon nor Clan Steel Viper expressed much interest in acquiring the planet the Wolves made their play for it. Rather than commit ground forces to its conquest Clan Wolf decided to negotiate for the planet's surrender, and Star Commodore Nihsen of the Wolves' Bravo Naval Reserve Star succeeded in getting the planetary government to concede control of Biota to them and disarm their meager militia forces.[28]

Jihad[edit]

In early March 3069 Clan Wolf took advantage of the Clan Jade Falcon attacks on the Lyran Alliance to launch their own attacks on several Falcon-held worlds. Biota was one of the worlds the wolves conquered in the first two weeks of March.[20] By the end of the Jihad the world had returned to Falcon control.[23]

Dark Age[edit]

Biota was retaken by Clan Wolf at some point prior to the Blackout and held by the Wolves until they abandoned their occupation zone in early 3137. The Jade Falcon once again took the planet in the aftermath.[29][2]

In June 3147 Biota was one of three Jade Falcon worlds attacked by the Hell's Horses during Operation NOYAN. The planet was successfully taken and incorporated into the Hell's Horses Occupation Zone.[26]
