History

Lester Kalasa was a Sea Fox which won a Kalasa (Bloodname) and rose to the rank of OvKhan of Delta Aimag of Tiburon Khanate prior to 3151. On March of that year, his Aimag traveled to the Hamburg system, in the Scorpion Empire. They wanted to obtain the technical specifications of new Imperial ’Mechs and issued a batchall to seize them. The Scorpion SaKhan Valentina Tazegül accepted on condition that her lightweight Trinary, part of Hellion Galaxy (Escorpión Imperio) be permitted to use their version of zellbrigen, and Lester accepted. The two forces met on the glacial Horvath Flatlands, with the Sea Foxes landing first. Then Hellion Keshik, Valentina's bodyguard cluster, dropped into their landing zone, and Tazegül challenged Kalasa to a duel. Her Hellion appeared puny compared to his Cauldron-Born, so he accepted. Tazegül charged, weapons blazing, while the rest of her Star turned from their opponents and joined their fire to hers. The barrage rocked Kalasa, and she never let him recover. The SaKhan downed the heavy OmniMech. Kalasa was defeated and his trial lost.[1]

The Aimag returned to the Chaine Cluster, arriving at July, but before they could land, received a batchall from the Hellion Keshik, which had followed them. The Scorpions wanted all the contents of the ovKhan’s JumpShip and DropShips, both physical and electronic. Kalasa wasn't able to openly refuse, but agreed if only pure zellbrigen was allowed, and not the Keshik’s personal interpretation. Tazegül accepted so quickly that Kalasa feared the worst. His fears were proved accurate: instead to use light 'Mechs, the Scorpions now piloted heavy and assault ones. The Foxes were defeated, and the Keshik departed with the entire contents of the ovKhan's ships, including all personnel who had not fought in the trial.[2]

The doble defeat was a death toll for the OvKhan's career, as he was disgraced by his lackluster performance and underestimating the Hellion Keshik’s commander twice. He fought a Trial of Grievance attempting to retain his rank, but lost, and was sent to a solahma unit.[3]

BattleMech

Lester's 'Mech was a Cauldron-Born.[4]
