History
Mavis and her brother Geoff were descended from a longline of Ronin MechWarriors. While on a garrison tour of the Republic of the Sphere Mavin received a rare offer of Republic citizenship and a permanent post in the Triarii Protectors, which she accepted. Geoff was uncomfortable with the heavy-handed Republic approach to cultural integration, and Mavis' acceptance of Citizenship caused them to be estranged. Just a few years later Mavis was caught selling narcotics to other Protectors and was briefly imprisoned and dishonorably discharged. Essentially unemployable, Mavis fell back on her underworld connections, working as a smuggler and muscle-for-hire for various black market concerns. She was arrested again in 3130 and was sentenced to prison on Alrescha before a Bannson's Raiders raid discovered her in prison. Her intense hatred for the Republic and distaste for formal command structure made her a good fit, and her contacts in the narcotics trade provided a useful information source the Raiders had been lacking. She commanded the Recon "Clown" Lance, which included Cater Gao.[1][2][3]
