Description
The PRF-1R Prefect was conceived by Exarch Devlin Stone in mid 3080s. Born out of desperation due to lawsuits by major military manufactures after the Jihad. Stone proposed the design to be based on his guerrilla-style warfare he conducted in early years of resistance to the Blake. The Prefect was to be a self-sufficient, durable design, which he used it production in order to create jobs, bolster his military, and help quiet manufacturers over liability of damage inflicted on them during the war.
Irian BattleMechs Unlimited was chosen to produce designs and produce it from their factories on Irian. The Prefect came into production in 3083, however the design was seen as being unarmed with XL Gyro making the 'Mech vulnerable being disabled.[2]
Armament
The 'Mech principle weapon is its Lord’s Light 3 Heavy Particle Projector Cannon, which can inflict considerable amount of damage, for close in fighting the 'Mech would turn to its Lord’s Light 5 Snub-Nose Particle Projector Cannon in right arm actuator and it pair of Extended Range Medium Lasers.
Variants
Only one known prototype production variant that known to be exist for Prefect. This variant exchanges the Heavy PPC and two ER Medium Lasers for pair of Light PPCs and second Snub-Nose PPC.
