Description

Developed from the Jenner, the Rattlesnake is a heavily armed and armored reconnaissance 'Mech. Its Phoenix 245 XL engine can propel it up to speeds of 118.9 km/h, while its seven Phoenix J245 jump jets allow it to make jumps of up to 210 meters.

Weapons and Equipment

The Rattlesnake's main armament are seven Hammerstorm Mjolnia-5 medium lasers, backed up by a single Hammerstorm Mjolnir-3 small laser. Its 11 double heat sinks are only just capable of keeping its heat in check. The C3 slave unit allows it to directly relay the information it acquires.

Variants

No variants are known. The Rattlesnake is itself essentially a variant of the Jenner.

Canonicity

Originally published in issue #21 of BattleTechnology magazine, the Rattlesnake was then considered canon but was downgraded to apocryphal when periodicals were declared noncanon. With the Vengeance Games serial published in Shrapnel magazine, it has regained its canon status.
