History[edit]

The Alliance was part of then Paladin Thaddeus Marik's secret plan to lay the groundwork for the return of the Free Worlds League, by creating pockets of neighborhoods within Prefecture VI, VII, and VIII. He presented this version of his plan to Exarch Jonah Levin as a means to soften the return of the Republic once the walls of Fortress Republic have gone up.[2]

The member worlds of the Alliance joined in an attempt to secure a clean, purified water source. Most of the Alliance was in part reliant on Phecda, a nearby ice world, for water imports. With the Republic's retreat, the favorable economic deals that the Alliance member systems had enjoyed were feared to be under threat. Encouraged by Thaddeus Marik's agents, a coalition military force was assembled to "annex" Phecda into the Alliance. However, they ran into resistance from the Wolf Hunters mercenary unit, and after taking heavy losses Thaddeus Marik convinced the Alliance commander to call for a retreat.[1][3]

It is unknown if the Alliance lasted long after the failed operation. All systems were listed as part of the Republic Remnant in the same year,[4] and by 3145, all but Alhena were held by the Wolf Empire.[5]
