Major General Daniel Jordan Grimm was the commander of the Star League Defense Force's XLV Corps from at least 2762 to 2764.[1]
History[edit]
Born on Monongahela in the Federated Suns, to a poor family who prospected for rare earth elements, as a young man Grimm sought employment as a LoaderMech pilot at the local spaceport. Discovered by SLDF recruiters after excelling at a BattleMech piloting simulation taken on a whim, he was given a scholarship for underprivileged recruits to attend the Sandhurst Royal Military College on Terra, where he graduated near the top of his class.[1]
At Sandhurst, Grimm was in the same class as Bedwyr Ross, with whom he became close friends. The two sought to serve in the same formations following graduation, and both rose to Corps command at a similar time, with Ross taking charge of LXVIII Corps.[2]
As a Corps commander, Grimm took pride in showing off his modest roots to the citizens of the Outworlds Alliance where he was assigned, and used his units own IndustrialMechs to assist in harvests and planting on Alpheratz in the two years leading up to 2764.[1]
