Greydon Brewer-Shaw was a Hauptmann in the Second Donegal Guards during their thousandth anniversary.

History[edit]

Early Life[edit]

Greydon was a member of House Brewer, ruling family of Hesperus II and Defiance Industries, but was so distantly related to the ruling family that it had little benefit to him. His distant cousin Vedet Brewer had a strong dislike for Greydon; supposedly, Vedet arranged Greydon's admission to The Nagelring in exchange for a promise that he would never again attend the Brewer family's Christmas.[1]

Second Donegal Guards[edit]

In 3128, Greydon was serving in the Second Donegal Guards as a company commander. He became close friends with fellow company commanders Greta Wellington and Naseem Mehyar, who nicknamed him "Brewski" on account of his distant relationship to the main Brewer family. He often made light of his situation, such as when hejoked about his bad relationship with his cousin or his attempt to "bravely repel" Khan Patrik Fetladral from a buffet[1]

As part of the unit's anniversary parade, Greydon was assigned a Thunder Hawk painted in the colors of the Star League Defense Force. The heavy use of Star League colors was intended to provoke Clan Jade Falcon, and unbeknownst to Greydon and the ad hoc lance he was in, his Thunder Hawk was their priority target, much like had happened in Operation BULLDOG and Task Force Serpent. Greydon showed himself a skilled marksman by eliminating a Loki with his first salvo. After realizing that the Star League colors were the cause of the Clanners targeting him, Greydon attempted to make light of the situation and the Second SLDF, which offended his lancemate Greta.

Under focus fire, Greydon lost his 'Mech's right arm and the Gauss rifle that went with it. Greydon moved in to try and protect her downed Gauntlet from a Thor II that had downed her, not realizing that its pilot was already dead. With little armor left, he managed to trade one more salvo before being shot out of his 'Mech.[1]

Greydon and his surviving lancemate, Naseem, were ultimately saved by the arrival of Leutnant-General Arnaud Zardetto and Khan Fetladral leading a unit of Gürteltier MBTs. He was last seen by K. Madeline Schroeder being transported back to base for medical care.[1]
