History[edit]

Betrayal by Alaric[edit]

On 21 May 3140, while Carns was acting as a Clan Wolf-in-Exile liaison with Clan Wolf proper, he was stationed on the Invader-class JumpShip Lope in the Helm system.

Carns was escorted by former Exile Verena Wolf, who was also one of his Sibkin, to see Galaxy Commander Alaric Wolf as part of ongoing discussions around the reunification of both Clans. Alaric however had Carns taken prisoner instead, in the course of the Wolves betrayal of their pact with the Lyran Commonwealth to attack the Free Worlds League, turning on the Exile's Lyran allies. As his prisoner, Alaric offered Carns the opportunity to either become a bondsman of Clan Wolf, or be granted a Right of Return to the Exiles.[2]

First Wolf Legion[edit]

Carns choose to be returned to the Exiles, and as of 3145, he was based on Arc-Royal as the commander of the First Wolf Legion.[1] He was still on Arc-Royal in September 3146, when Clan Jade Falcon forces under Malvina Hazen attacked the Exiles, in a battle which ejected them from their long-term homeworld. During Malvina's attempted slaughter of every Exile even down to their Sibkos, Carns and the First Wolf Legion were ordered by SaKhan Miriam Shaw to act as a rear guard, to buy time for the escape of the rest of the Clan to Donegal.

Holding the Falcon's 53rd Falcon Talon and 6th Falcon Striker back for several hours, which was enough to allow their comrades to lift off-world, Carns and the First Wolf Legion were eventually destroyed by Falcon reinforcements from Raptor Keshik. After the battle, only three Legion warriors survived to become Falcon bondsmen, though it is not known if Carns was one of these.[3]
