Josiah Talhoffer was a MechWarrior who, post-Jihad, joined Johnston Industries as an R&D staffer.[1]

Talhoffer grew up in a farming family on Sekulmun, where he learned to pilot AgroMechs. Once he reached adulthood, he left the planet, eventually joining the AFFC. His skill at piloting had him moved from the First Bell Training Battalion to the New Syrtis Capellan March Militia, earned him a Hatchetman, and soon even caught the attention of Johnston Industries, which had him test pilot the 5DD variant while in service.[1]
Talhoffer continued his military service through the FedCom Civil War and the Jihad, surviving multiple invasions of New Syrtis. In the aftermath of the Jihad, he joined Johnston Industries as an R&D staffer, and helped design the 7S Hatchetman.[1]
BattleMechs[edit]
Talhoffer piloted a Hatchetman in his military service. He served as a test pilot for the 5DD variant, and helped design the 7S.[1]
