Yamashita had Yakuza ties, the discovery of which led to him being dishonored, though he was given a chance at redemption under Theodore Kurita's reforms. During the War of 3039 he was dropped behind enemy lines on Konstance, where he spotted for artillery strikes, with great skill and courage.
This performance gained him full acceptance amongst his peers in the DCMS.[1][2]
BattleMech[edit]
Yamashita was known to pilot an HSR-300-D Hussar BattleMech, which was assigned to him from ComStar's hidden stockpiles.[1][2]
