Captain Paula Stilson was a MechWarrior[1] and noted Femme Fatale[2] during the thirty-first century.

Personal Appearance[edit]

Stilson was considered to be, as of 3025, a tall, red haired and physically striking woman.[2]

History[edit]

Federated Suns[edit]

Stilson initially served, prior to 3025, as a lance commander in the Federated Suns' Crucis March Militia. In this role she was known for both her exploits, both military and romantic.[2]

However, after seducing an AFFS General, she was accused of being a Kurita spy. Before she could be arrested for this alleged crime, she resigned her commission and fled the Federated Suns.[1]

Wilson's Hussars[edit]

Following her escape from Davion authorities, Stilson joined the Wilson's Hussars in the mid-to-late 3020s, and was appointed by Captain David Wilson as commander of their Recon Lance once she had proven her piloting skills. While some of her fellow Hussars such as MechWarrior Dai Chin, considered her taking Captain Wilson as one of her many lovers was more responsible for her appointment to this role, she actually was of command level caliber.

While she considered herself a "temporary Hussar" during this time, she commanded her lance well, and was appreciated by Captain Wilson both personally and professionally.[1]

12th Star Guards[edit]

Following her time with Wilson's Hussars, Stilson spend some time in the Magistracy of Canopus, before joining the Seventh Regiment from the Twelfth Star Guards sometime before 3034 While with the Seventh Regiment she married a technician named Chase who worked for them and raised a family. Her son David Stilson was born in 3034 and her daughter Zöey Stilson in 3036.

Stilson and her family remained on Bensinger, where the Seventh Regiment were stationed, for over 10 years from around 3040 to 3050 when Clan Jade Falcon invaded as part of the first wave of Operation REVIVAL. At this time Stilson was a Captain within the Regiment's Second Battalion, which went into hiding following the initial Falcon invasion, supporting Colonel Len Bouncer's guerrilla attacks upon the Clan occupiers.

During their time in hiding, together with the rest of her unit, Stilson adopted a cover identity as a civilian who had joined the Falcon's labor caste as required by Bensinger's conquers. She worked as a farmer, Akita dog breeder and part-time school teacher during this time, while her husband worked as a truck repairman.

Jade Falcons[edit]

However in September 3052, when Colonel Bouncer sought to have the remaining military members of his regiment attempt an escape from Bensinger without their dependents, Stilson refused as she would not leave her family. When Bouncer tried to make it an order, Stilson led a mutiny and betrayed the loyal members of the Seventh Regiment to the Jade Falcons, resulting them all being killed to ensure they couldn't reveal the identity of her mutineers and their families.

Following the death of Colonel Bouncer and his loyalist, Stilson sought to integrate into the Jade Falcon lower castes, becoming a member of the merchant caste.[3]

BattleMech[edit]

Stilson was known to pilot an OSR-2C Ostroc BattleMech,[3] nicknamed the Heartbreaker, the dozens of tiny hearts painted on it as of 3025 each representing one of her previous lovers.[2][1] After her marriage however, Stilson gave up collecting markers in memory of her various lovers male and female, and repainted her 'Mech with a single broken pink heart to symbolize her husband.[3]
