Sang-wei Sandra Sung was the granddaughter of Aris Sung, a MechWarrior and member of McCarron's Armored Cavalry during the Dark Age Era.[1][2][3]

Personal Appearance[edit]

Sandra had red hair and brown eyes.[1]

History[edit]

Deeply aware of the legacy of her grandfather Aris Sung, and devoted to emulating his martial and philosophical attributes, Sandra initially sought to join Aris' old unit Warrior House Hiritsu. Rejected due to a Warrior House tradition against recruiting from the family of alumni, the House Master instead direct Sandra to join McCarron's Armored Cavalry, stating that "one of such heart and such progeny must ever seek her destiny as a champion of the Chancellor".[1][2]

Despite this rejection, Sandra remained a Capellan's Capellan, with a customary arrogance which was off-putting to some of her comrades.[4] Her patriotism did not however extent to a love for the Maskirovka, despite supporting their goals, following a romantic relationship with a Mask agent assigned as a "diplomatic liaison" to McCarron's Armored Cavalry which ended badly.[5]

In November 3135 while on Liao, Sandra was personally selected by Danai Liao-Centrella to join her Command Lance as Tactical Officer, within Second McCarron's Third Battalion. Known to Liao-Centrella from previous service in her Calvary Command Lance since at least 3132, Sandra joined Liao-Centrella's invasion of Aldebaran later that month where she planned the tactics for Third Battalion's various engagements[6][7], and continued to assist with her various assignments through to at least October 3136.[8]

BattleMech[edit]

Sandra was known to have piloted a Marauder II BattleMech, serial number CC2032-80G, nicknamed "Iron Lazarus". Manufactured for the Capellan Confederation shortly before the Word of Blake Jihad, it was deploying during numerous engagement throughout that war. Despite being severely damaged a number of times fighting the Word of Blake, it was repeatedly repaired, before being transferred to McCarron's Armored Cavalry at the end of the Jihad.[1][7]
