The origins of the Whiskey Tangos are unknown. The unit was assigned to raid the Lyran world of Vindemiatrix under contract to the Galatean League in 3144 to claim a supply dump from the LCAF.
With excellent tactics and knowing the LCAF deficiencies the unit beat the supply dump's defensive unit, formed by a medium 'Mech lance and a company of battlesuit infantry.
One of the unit members, Nicolas Oleance, who led the taskfore has been courted since the return by the Galatean League to accept a position as part of the Galatean Defense Force, but he is holding out for offers for the entire Whiskey Tangos.[1]
This could be the end of the Whiskey Tangos' mercenary career.[citation needed]
