History
A prestigious and efficient unit, with a history of uneven leadership, command of the Third Donegal Guards is a much coveted post.[1]
The unit won a victory on Shirotori during the Fourth Succession War.[1]
Under the mediocre leadership of Thanom Hammerskjold, the third was defeated by House Imarra on Styk in 3057. The unit was transferred to Pandora after its recall from Styk.[1]
The unit participated in Operation Bulldog, attacking the Jaguars on Tarazed.[1]
FedCom Civil War
The Third defeated Argyle's Lancers on Crimond, and later moved to Cumbres to defend Tharkad against moves from Arc-Royal. [1]
As of 1st August 3067, the third was on Cumbres and at 85% strength.[2]
Officers
During the Fourth Succession War, the Commanding Officer was James Hipper.[citation needed]
Leutnant-General Wendell Power replaced Thanom Hammerskjold as Commanding Officer in 3058 and commanded the Brigade to the year 3067. [3][2]
Tactics
The sheer size of the RCT give the CO a wide range of opportunities. The command use often the direct engagements. The commander trust his subortinates and give them freedom to dicede for them self.[3]
