History

The unit received its nickname when having to recruit socialist workers when defending Odessa from Kuritans in 2846.[1]

Anton Marik's Revolt

During the chaos of Anton Marik's Revolt the Fourth Doengal took advantage of the situation. They attacked Nestor and the 5th Orloff Grenadiers.[2]

Fourth Succession War

The unit was involved in an attacks on Harvest, Kirchbach and Liezen in the Fourth Succession War. After the war the unit raided the Capellan Confederation worlds of Homestead and Holloway from Velhas. [1]

FedCom Civil War

The fourth, like the rest of the Donegal Guards, fought for Katherine Steiner-Davion. It was involved in battles on Sirdar and Taygeta.[3]

The unit took part in the attack on New Syrtis in 3065/66 during the FedCom Civil War. They were defeated and were the only invading unit, that left the planet somehow intact.[citation needed]

The fourth surrendered to Duke Hasek on New Syrtis.[3]

As of 1st August 3067, the fourth was on New Syrtis and down to 10% strength.[4]

Officers

In 3025 the unit is commanded by Colonel Gilda Feira[5]

As of 3062, the Commanding Officer is Hauptmann-General Victor Amelio, he held also the command in 3067.[1][4]

Tactics

The unit is skilled in planetary assault and to 'motivated' the defenders to put more troops to the front.[1]
