The Fifth Rasalhague Regulars was a Medium BattleMech unit in service to the Draconis Combine. All members of the Rasalhague Regulars underwent intense screening by the ISF; Only the Sword of Light regiments were placed under more detailed scrutiny.[1]

Star League
In 2765, the Fifth Rasalhague Regulars were stationed on Sternwerde and remained there until the start of the First Succession War.[2]
First Succession War
The Fifth Rasalhague Regulars, an Assault weight regiment, was involved in the fighting along the Lyran Commonwealth border during the First Succession War. They survived the fighting and ended the war stationed on Halesowen. They had experienced 58% losses.[3]
Second Succession War
The Fifth Rasalhague Regulars remained on Halesowen when the war started.[4]
The Fifth Rasalhague Regulars participated in Operation Chopin by assaulting the world of Kobe with the Second Rasalhague Regulars in 2835. There they fought against the Fourth Royal Guards and the Thirteenth Arcturan Guards. The Lyrans were able to separate the Regulars from their dropships, but were unable to land a killing blow against the DCMS units due to their maneuverability. The Combine troops were then able to turn the tables with their speed and land several damaging blows with lightning raids. This led to the phrase "a Kobe dance" arising in the Draconis Combine to honor the Regulars victories. Ronin Wars
During the Ronin Wars the Fifth Regulars were placed on Alshain. Declared ronin by Theodore Kurita the Fifth was defending several supply depots that were being used by the renegade DCMS forces. To destroy the invaders, the High Command dispatched Ryuken-ni. After stinging the Regulars for three days, Ryuken-ni sent their entire force against the Regulars' lines. This attack smashed two-thirds of the unit completely, and the remaining Regulars surrendered when they discovered they were surrounded. The survivors were held in a prisoner of war camp until after the Ronin War ended.[9]
