The 6th Striker Cluster was a front line military formation of Clan Smoke Jaguar.

History

Post Tukayyid

The 6th Striker Cluster was still in the process of forming up 3059 and filling its ranks when it moved to Luzerne. [1]

Operation Bulldog

  • Luzerne - It was assaulted by the 208th ComStar Division and the 3rd Davion Guards RCT. These units took heavy casualties during their landings and the Jaguar forces had them on the back foot for most of the five week battle splitting them into three ad-hoc groups defending three fortified bastions. The fighting broke down to a siege situation with continued Jaguar assaults, until the deadlock was broken by the arrival of the Ryuken-Roku on 1st August, turning the advantage towards the SLDF. [2] On 7 August, 3059, the Sixth attempted to secure the evacuation of their surviving Bloodnamed warriors with a furious suicide attack against the Ryuken-Roku, fighting to the death. Though it effectively destroyed the Sixth Striker as a command, the binary did manage to reach transport and lift off Luzerne. However, these DropShips were soon destroyed by Star League Aerospace Fighters.[3]

Notes

  • Although considered destroyed during Operation Bulldog, [6] elements of the 6th Striker Cluster formed part of Alpha Provisional Cluster on Huntress in 3060. [7]

Rules

When rolling on a Smoke Jaguar RAT, if the result is a non-OmniMech, the controlling player may replace it with an OmniMech of equal weight, provided the Omni is available as of 3059. If a comparable Omni is not available, then the original rolled result is used. When deployed with any other Jaguar force prior to 10 July 3059, that side gains a -2 Initiative Penalty.[8]
