History

The 202nd Striker Cluster was a part of Delta Galaxy. During a raid against Federated Commonwealth forces, the Star Colonel at the time was manipulated into including his DropShips in the bid by the opposing commander. This allowed the FedCom fighters to target them, destroying two-thirds of the 202nd Striker in their transports, and sending the remainder of the Cluster into retreat. As punishment, the now Dezgra Cluster was stripped of its front-line status, renamed as the Eighty-third Fang and transferred to Psi Galaxy on Bensinger.[1]

Around 3065 Psi Galaxy was disbanded, possibly due to losses incurred in fighting Clan Snow Raven,[2] and the 83rd Fang was transferred to Omega Galaxy. In 3067 it was stationed on Marshall. [3]

Officers

Between 3061 and 3067 the Commanding Officer was Star Colonel Durn. Previously he had been a Star Captain in the Cluster, he was the highest ranking officer left after the debacle with their DropShips.[1]

Tactics

Because they normally operated at the Trinary level and below, the warriors of the Clusters found it difficult to fight larger engagements or to follow complicated battle maneuvers. [1]
