History
=Destruction
The 8th Rasalhague Regulars were stationed on Rasalhague when the Free Rasalhague Republic was formed. In 3034 they were ordered to arrest Marcus Kurita. They did not do so, and in fact attacked the ISF unit that had taken Marcus into custody. They, along with the 12th Sun Zhang Academy Cadre, staged a fighting retreat to DropShips located at Rasalhague's main spaceport. Many of the 8th's warriors were able to escape to Predlitz, but several companies were left behind. The 1st Tyr regiment broke these elements with their furious assault on the spaceport.[2]
On Predlitz the 1st Tyr Regiment's assault 'Mechs tore through the light 'Mechs of the 8th, having followed from Rasalhague. The 8th was eventually destroyed by a combined force consisting of the 1st Tyr and the 2nd Sword of Light.[3]
Officers
In 3025, Tai-shu Ivan Sorenson of the Rasalhague Military District was the commander of the 8th Regulars. He was killed in a ground car accident on 14 March 3034 at the start of the Ronin War. [4]
