History[edit]
The mercenary unit Cady's Regiment was in Draconis Combine employ until "recently" as of 3002 when they ran afoul of the Internal Security Force, and left Kurita employ.[1]
In 3002 the Free Worlds League hired them specifically for their experience in fighting the Lyran Commonwealth. Together with two Marik Militia regiments they were part of the ill-fated strike agaist Loric under General Willis Crawford. The defenders were forewarned and the industrial targets on Loric were reinforced to become what was described as a fiery nightmare; the attack bogged down for many months.[1]
There is no mention of Cady's Regiment afterwards, suggesting the unit may have been destroyed in or disbanded after the Loric attack.
