Origins
In 2799, the Free Worlds League captured Alula Australis from the Lyran Commonwealth, rather than be destroyed the defending mercenary commander offered Captain-General Kenyon Marik a pledge of loyalty. The newly pledged mercenaries would become the core of the Steel Guard, with Josè Stroud founding what would be a hereditary command position.[1]
