Jaime Wolf was a born in 2980 in the Wolf clan enclave on Eden at the farming settlement of Applegate, as the son of MechWarrior Jon Vickers and Brigit of the merchant caste.
At age ten he was tested and accepted into the Warrior caste, assigned to Gamma Ten Freeborn Sibko. He piloted an antiquated Archer in his Trial of Position where he disabled a Trueborn-piloted Nova (Black Hawk). Subsequently, he was assigned as a MechWarrior to the Choyer Garrison Cluster in 3000 where he distinguished himself in the defense against Clan Nova Cat forces when his cluster defeated a trinary in a Trial of Possession over mineral rights on Circe. He then rose to the rank of Star Commander in the 328th Assault Cluster under Star Captain Natasha Kerensky. Following his performance against Clan Diamond Shark on Paxton and Clan Jade Falcon on Eden he easily tested up for Star Captain following Kerensky's promotion to Star Colonel in 3003.
Promising the creation of a Wolf bloodname, Khan Kerlin Ward offered Jaime Wolf and his younger brother Joshua Wolf command of the Clan reconnaissance mission into the Inner Sphere that was Wolf's Dragoons. They set out in 3004, and the story of Jaime Wolf's life was essentially that of Wolf's Dragoons from this point onwards.
Enroute to the Inner Sphere, he married Ellen, a "dependant" who had been assigned to the mission. Their son Mackenzie Wolf was born while Jaime Wolf was leading the Dragoons' Alpha Regiment against Capellan Confederation forces on Styk, fulfilling a mercenary contract with House Davion. During this time, the son of mercenary captain Wayne Waco was killed by members of the Dragoons in combat and Waco swore a death oath against Jaime Wolf and the Dragoons.
Wolf and his unit served Anton Marik during the Marik Civil War, which cost him the lives of his brother, his wife, and both of his daughters in 3015.
He later fought for House Kurita, but the treacherous actions of Warlord Grieg Samsonov forced him to fight his friend Minobu Tetsuhara and turned him against the Draconis Combine and Takashi Kurita. After that, he signed on with Hanse Davion, who turned over the world of Outreach to the Dragoons for their service. Wolf later revealed his origins during the early years of the Clan Invasion and trained the Successor State heirs in anti-Clan tactics. Wolf also led his Dragoons to help repel the Smoke Jaguar-Nova Cat assault on Luthien.
Jaime Wolf piloted a 70-ton Archer BattleMech painted blue and gold. Circumstantial evidence suggests it was of the ARC-2W subtype wich was exclusively manufactured by Wolf's Dragoons on their mobile space station Hephaistos. True to Clan traditions, Jaime Wolf would frequently lead his troops into combat in his 'Mech and did not hesitate to risk his life in battle. His life was in jeopardy on at least two occasions where Minobu Tetsuhara spared respectively saved him, and in the latter case the Wolf's 'Mech was destroyed.
He was killed on October 18, 3067, during the attack on Outreach by rogue mercenaries hired by the Word of Blake and led by Colonel Waco.
