Lone Star Regiment

History

Formed in 2825 from former Star League Defense Force and Rim Worlds military personnel on the planet Somerset as well as surviving units from the Lyran Alliance attack of the Draconis Combine. After 200 years of service the Lone Star Regiment left Draconis Combine service in response to the Coordinator's "Death to Mercenaries" statement. For the next 20 years they clashed with raiders from the Capellan Combine under employ of the Federated Suns. Starting in 3050 the Lone Star Regiment was employed by the Taurian Defense Force. During this period of activity they battled the Redfield's Renegades. While the unit sustained significant losses as a result of this conflict they gained control of an additional dropship.

In 3067 distrust in the existing commanding officer results in their replacement with the son of a previous unit commander. Under employ of the Word of Blake the Lone Star Regiment support operations on Epsilon Eridani. Fresh with equipment upgrades and other assets from their contract with the Word of Blake; the unit assisted the Taurians in their attempt to regain control of the Pleiades Cluster.
