Owner History

Planetary Info

Panpour was originally classed as a marginal world ill-suited to colonization. It wasn't until the Reunification War that this status changed. The SLDF and AFFS needed a logistical center near the Periphery and Panpour fit the bill. Directed terraforming efforts moved more slowly than the industrial capability that grew on the world almost overnight. Careful immigration and harsh population control measures were needed for centuries as Panpour slowly developed the agricultural needed to feed the population. Today the immigration laws have been loosened, but the custom of having few children lives on.[1]

Panpour continues to serve the AFFS as the home of several military industries. Nearly every citizen of Panpour is either employed by these industries or in food-production efforts.[1]

After the Jihad Panpour became part of the Periphery March.[2] The world was apparently attacked by the Taurian Concordat during the Jihad, as the local manufacturing centers suffered some personnel and capital losses.[21]
