History

Fought in the Refusal War and on Coventry.

As of 3059, Rho Galaxy defended the anti-spinward section of the Jade Falcon Occupation Zone.

The Dark Age

By the ending of the Rending, Rho was one of the older second line Galaxies within the Jade Falcon touman and one that Khan Malvina Hazen felt could be trusted with reasonably important goals. As a result Rho was called on to launch themselves into the remains of the Clan Wolf Occupation Zone, just as Epsilon Galaxy was doing; Epsilon struck rimward, while Rho was order to launch themselves spinward.[1]

It took time for Rho to begin moving, but when the Galaxy did move, it was to swiftly occupy the worlds of Laurent and Vulcan, providing a bridgehead to strike at the former Wolf capital world of Tamar. Their conquests were far from unchallenged, however; elements of Clan Hell's Horses Delta Galaxy landed on both worlds, intent on acquiring them for their clan.[1]

The successful use of what had become known as Mongol formations during the Rending gave Rho confidence that they had little to fear from the Hell's Horses forces, and the two occupying units - the Twelfth and Eighteenth Falcon Regulars - deployed in Mongol formations accordingly.[1] Delta Galaxy landed the Fourth Horde on Laurent and the Eighty-second Mechanized Cavalry on Vulcan;[2] unfortunately for both Jade Falcon formations, they were swiftly outperformed by the Hell's Horses light formations,[1] which were better equipped than the Falcons and overwhelmed their opponents.[2] This left the heavier elements of the Jade Falcon forces unprotected and blind, forcing them to retreat.[1]

As a consequence of their poor showing in the face of Delta Galaxy, Rho was left out of Khan Hazen's invasion of the Lyran Commonwealth, relegated instead to the defense of Sudeten in preparation for any sign of the Hell's Horses withdrawing from their alliance with the Falcons.[1]

Officers

As of 3059 the Commanding Officer was Galaxy Commander Lizabet Danforth.

In 3145 Galaxy Commander Clarence Pryde was the commanding officer of Rho Galaxy, with Star Colonel Robert acting as his military aide.[3]
