Description
The Roc is one of the best first generation ProtoMechs. By the time it was created, the engineers and technicians had enough feedback from the other units to find a good balance of armor, weaponry, and speed. It proved to be very popular with pilots, and formed the backbone of many ProtoMech Points and Stars. It is particularly effective when used alongside the Centaur and Gorgon ProtoMechs; the Roc provides close combat support while the other two units bombard the enemy with missiles.
Able to keep pace with a Timber Wolf, the Roc mounts jump jets that allow it to act almost as a "super-Elemental." It can maneuver around and behind an enemy, striking at any weak points that the warrior can find. The Roc is used by several Clans, including Clan Nova Cat, Clan Snow Raven, and Clan Goliath Scorpion.
Armament
Mounting a single 'Mech scale ER Medium Laser a Point of Rocs can easily destroy a light 'Mech.
