Moratorium
Good day sir; I noticed that some of the info you've added for the Tikonov Guards and respective subpages includes things from FM:3145 which is still under Moratorium. It will be up in a couple of days, so you can leave the info as-is, but be sure to watch for this in the future. -BobTheZombie (talk) 12:25, 16 February 2014 (PST)

Operation Thunderstrike

Thanks for the catch the Impavido was going by Jihid Secrets source book and their bit vague about what happened in the ships. -- Wrangler 20:44, 2 November 2009 (UTC)

Signing talk pages

As a courtesy for other editors, it is a BattleTechWiki guideline to sign your talk page and user talk page posts. To do so simply add four tildes (~~~~) at the end of your comments. Your user name (or IP address, if you are editing anonymously) and the date will be automatically added along with a timestamp. Signing your comments helps people to find out who said something and provides them with a link to your user/talk page (for further discussion). For further info see the talk page guidelines. Thank you.

Talk pages

Morning, Aldous. Please keep discussions on talk/discussion pages. There are several reasons why, but the two major reasons are 1) because the recipient has no idea you've reached out to him unless he sees the history page (discussion pages give the reader a notice whenever he logs on when someone has written on his page, just you did when I wrote here), 2) The User Page is his personal space and the only one (generally) allowed to write on it is the User. Thanks. --Revanche (talk|contribs) 11:46, 10 April 2010 (UTC)

Moratorium

Hy, i notice you add info from Field Manual: 3145, keep in mind this source falls under moratorium, you can stard to add info on 10 November 2013.--Doneve (talk) 22:29, 20 October 2013 (PDT)

Actually that's incorrect. When a product is PDF and hardcopy, the moratorium expires two months (60 days) after the hardcopy is released. Since FM3145 isn't out as a hardcopy yet, we can't use it as a source. (Frustrating I know.) So please hold off on using FM3145 as a source for now.--Mbear(talk) 10:29, 13 November 2013 (PST)

Overlors A3

Ugh, you are right, sorry that i undo your revision, i overread this.--Doneve (talk) 19:16, 26 October 2013 (PDT)

Chesterton

Hi Aldous,
I'm afraid your recent edit to the Chesterton page covering the conquest of the world during the Dark Age was re-edited by Desaints because it appeared to stray out of the neutral point of view that all the editors here are supposed to adhere to, as per the Policy on the Neutral Point of View. If you were quoting an in-character statement, then it's better to do that as an actual quote within the article, although those are best used sparingly to avoid each article simply becoming a mass of in-character quotes. It's important that we stay impartial here as editors BrokenMnemonic (talk) 00:59, 12 November 2013 (PST)

1st Tikonov Guards

Aldous, i deleted the content, all was wrong and copyd and past from the 2nd Tikonov Guards article, and please dont plagiarize content from sources, as exampel it was the colors and scheme section you write word for word from the sourcebook, we dont need trouble with plagiraized stuff.--Doneve (talk) 05:32, 13 November 2013 (PST)

I think FM:3145 is still under moratorium, too - that's what the book article says, which I'm guessing is because we don't have a release date for the hard copy yet - so it's against the Sarna policy for any edits to be made using FM:3145 as a source at the moment. 82.0.120.73 06:04, 13 November 2013 (PST)
It is still under moratorium at this time. (Sorry for doubling up on the posts.) But Aldous, if you want to copy your Tikonov Guards articles to your local hard drive and populate them with info from FM3145 and upload them after the moratorium expires, that would work (and nobody will mess up your work before you're ready!).--Mbear(talk) 10:31, 13 November 2013 (PST)

Blackjack

(copy talk from Revanche's talk page he is at time semi active)

He, iam confused, the source links are added to the variant! You found the info in Objective Raids.--Doneve (talk) 18:44, 13 November 2013 (PST)
I've moved this discussion to Talk:Blackjack (BattleMech)#BJ-3 issue to continue there. Frabby (talk) 03:40, 14 November 2013 (PST)

References

Hy Aldous why you don't add ref. notes with page numbers to your edits, ass example Capellan-St. Ives War or Pirates War.--Doneve (talk) 20:48, 16 November 2013 (PST)

They're not finished yet. Also, do you know where I can find the FM: Periphery Errata? Aldous (talk) 20:53, 16 November 2013 (PST)
I found only this Index, but i dont found one for FM:Periphery.--Doneve (talk) 20:59, 16 November 2013 (PST)
That's unfortunate. There's an obvious mistake in p.70 that makes the timeline nonsense. Aldous (talk) 21:17, 16 November 2013 (PST)
Hey, if you're going to be editing Pirates War a bunch then putting the inuse tag on the page would keep others from editing the page while you're trying to (and thus preventing edit conflicts). -BobTheZombie (talk) 21:25, 16 November 2013 (PST)
When you found a mistake and there is no errata talk to a line developer or writer on teh BT Forum.--Doneve (talk) 21:49, 16 November 2013 (PST)
I no longer have access to the BT Forum. Could you do it? Aldous (talk) 22:18, 16 November 2013 (PST)
Why? You are banned? I dont like the forum, some questions and responses are ok, but the most is shit, i diss like the handle of user questions, the best example is Bad Syntax in the past if you interestest he is his blog page [1].--Doneve (talk) 22:32, 16 November 2013 (PST)
Yup! Ridiculous thought police and hyper-sensitive feelings got me some strikes. Technical problems that caused me to create a second account at the office got me a permanent ban. I will check Bad Syntax out. Aldous (talk) 22:46, 16 November 2013 (PST)
Go to the older post link on his page and you where surprised why CGL where pissed of so many people.--Doneve (talk) 22:48, 16 November 2013 (PST)

McCarron's Trading Company

Hi, I'm slightly confused by you edit of McCarron's Trading Company. You have removed the Stub marker but provided no new information. Is there evidence for the classification of the company as interstellar? As the information provided only lists BattleMechs as produced why change prime product to varied? --Dark Jaguar (talk) 11:26, 30 November 2013 (PST)

I am currently editing it. When finished, it will provide all that is required.--Aldous (talk) 11:38, 30 November 2013 (PST)
Fair enough, I look forward to seeing the final version. --Dark Jaguar (talk) 11:48, 30 November 2013 (PST)
The Primary Products filed in the infobox is driven by the list of manufactured items and components in terms of categorization on the wiki - it was set to BattleMechs by Doneve because that was the only listed finished product in the manufactured items section at the time. Rather than using "varied", to be consistent with the other manufacturers pages, can you list the major category types definitively please? Something like Defiance Industries is a good example of how a completed table for a manufacturer that makes more than one major product line should look. BrokenMnemonic (talk) 12:20, 30 November 2013 (PST)
Please add refnotes from which source the info comes.--Doneve (talk) 12:28, 30 November 2013 (PST)
It's not finished yet.--Aldous (talk) 12:30, 30 November 2013 (PST)
Now it is done.--Aldous (talk) 13:32, 30 November 2013 (PST)

Capellan-St. Ives War

I like what you have done/are doing with the article. It makes a lot more sense now in many fewer words. Please accept a substantial addition award. Substantial Addition Award, 1st ribbon --Scaletail (talk) 16:17, 9 December 2013 (PST)

Operation Guerrero Unit Deployment Tables

Hey, I noticed your edit on the page and thought that since I am lacking in the sources to confirm the info under the Liao section, I was wondering if you could help out and add references to those parts? That would be a big help, and I'd appreciate it a lot. -BobTheZombie (talk) 15:32, 20 January 2014 (PST)

Sure. Be advised there isn't much and I doubt there ever will be. Frankly, the CCAF simply doesn't have the troops to do that 3-1 attack the books say they did even with Merc help.--Aldous (talk) 15:41, 20 January 2014 (PST)
Well, if you want, you can take over working on the page itself, as long as you keep the planet links and include refs. I'm not at all an expert on Operation Guerrero, so feel free to change whatever you want. -BobTheZombie (talk) 18:11, 21 January 2014 (PST)
