Planetary Info

Ward was originally settled during the First Exodus by Utopians. This experimental community based itself on the ideas of harmony and cooperative activity. Though an excellent idea, the First Ward Constitution was replaced in 2644 for a document that allows for free trade and more military activity. Despite this, the original Utopian ideals remain strong in the minds of the population and the First Ward Constitution remains one of the most widely studied political documents from the First Exodus.[1]

Ward's greatest export are its skilled construction workers. Frequently contracted to build roads through harsh terrain on other worlds, the Wardians use a proprietary formula to create a road surface that is weather-, stress-, and temperature-proof to a degree that isn't seen in any other similar material.[1] As a result Wardian built roads tend to last much longer than their non-Wardian counterparts.
