History
Formation
Those few members of the Principes Guards who obeyed the order to withdraw to Prefecture X issued by Exarch Jonah Levin continued to serve the Republic of the Sphere with fervent loyalty as the brigade rebuilt; the Eleventh Principes Guards was one of the Guards regiments to survive the recall order, and remained completely loyal to Devlin Stone as the Republic Armed Forces rebuilt frantically. The core of the Eleventh were two companies of Knights-Errant, with Standing Guard volunteers forming the bulk of the remaining MechWarriors. By 3145, the Eleventh was the most experienced of the various Guards commands, and had taken an active part in the Republican hunt for the reformed Com Guard. During the battles at Luyten 68-28, the Eleventh was responsible for smashing the Omega One facility belonging to the Com Guard First Division.[1]
Officers
In 3145 the commanding officer is Colonel Randolph Abasi.[2]
Tactics
3145
In common with the tactics preferred by most Knights the Eleventh concentrated on a mobile, fluid style of warfare utilising both their heavy and assault BattleMechs and the fast-assault vehicle support available to the regiment.[1]
