The Fiftieth Royal Infantry Division was a part of the Star League Defense Force Regular Army. It was one of the SLDF's Royal units, which consisted of troops from the Terran Hegemony.
History[edit]
The Fiftieth won the Best Division category of the SLDF Martial Olympiad twice, in 2656 and 2708 during the Fifth and Eighteenth Olympiads held on Mars and then Outreach.[2][3]
In 2764, the unit was stationed on New Avalon,[4] assigned as part of LIV Corps, Fourth Army to District 3 of the Federated Suns Military Region.[5] The Fiftieth was considered the most prestigious posting in Fourth Army and they only admitted soldiers with spotless records.[1]
The Fiftieth was moved to an undisclosed area of the Periphery in 2765 to take part in the Periphery Uprising. The unit survived the war and the Hegemony Campaign, and followed General Aleksandr Kerensky on the Exodus in 2784.[5]

As an SLDF Infantry division, the Fiftieth would have been formed from two brigades of grunt infantry and a brigade of light BattleMech regiments.[6]
