Gustav van Buren was the commanding officer of the Thirty-second Lyran Guards as of 3050.[2]
History[edit]
Marshal van Buren, serving with the Thirty-second Lyran Guards, was stationed on Solaris in 3050.[2] When fighting broke out between pro-Davion and pro-Lyran gladiators in 3062, van Buren lead his unit into battle against the Davion partisans. While this move ended the fighting, it gained the Thirty-second resentment from the local populace for failing to minimize casualties, nearly destroyed the Thirty-second Guards, and killed Marshal van Buren.[1]
