Personal Appearance[edit]
Erbe was a youngish man as of 3077, with balding salt and pepper hair, and glasses. He had gray eyes was 185cm tall and weighed 96.1kg.[1]
History[edit]
The Minister of Education of Towne before the Word of Blake Jihad, following its conquest by the Word of Blake, Erbe was forced to take charge of the Blakist Fervent Light Reeducation Camp under the threat of killing him and his family. While he sought to run the facility as humanely as possible, he couldn't prevent people from dying in the camp, which resulted in an arrest warrant being issued in June 3077 for his alleged collaboration with the Blakists following the liberation of Towne by Stone's Coalition and the creation of a anti-Blakist planetary government.[3]
While the Government believed his wife to have died, they did actively look for Erbe himself, who went to ground in the remote Zingara Province on Towne. Taking on the last name Batiste, Erbe worked as a legal advocate, having a son named Kristoff Batiste and becoming well respected locally while the world was part of the Republic of the Sphere. He was eventually identified in 3105 by bounty hunters however, and forced to face a board of inquiry, but was eventually acquitted of all charges for lack of evidence and witnesses being unable to definitively identify him. The revelation of his identity unfortunately left Erbe unable to earn a living, resulting in him committing suicide three years later in 3108, and his wife choosing the same fate in 3111.
His then orphaned son Kristoff, who was subsequently raised by an elderly aunt and uncle in Port Howard, survived and reclaimed his surname of Erbe.[1][3][2]
