John Smith was a member of Killer Bees and later the Twenty-first Centauri Lancers during the thirty-first century.[1]

History[edit]
John Smith was once a part of the Federated Suns intelligence community, though he was extremely evasive when asked about this past.[1][2] He left the service and joined the Killer Bees mercenary unit, becoming the unit's XO by at least 3034, when he was with the Killer Bees during a contract with the Magistracy of Canopus on Andarmax.[3] Smith built a talented special ops and recon team within the Bees.[2]
War of 3039[edit]
During the War of 3039, his special ops team executed a successful boarding action, which resulted in the capture of a Draconis Combine JumpShip.[1]
Word of Blake Jihad[edit]
He was still with the Killer Bees in 3067, serving under Major Ernst Murdoch,[2] including participating with his special operations team in the Bees' evacuation of the Twenty-first Centauri Lancers and other survivors of the Word of Blake attack on Tukayyid.[4]
Following the Bees' merger with the Twenty-first Centauri Lancers in 3072, Smith became commander of the Lancers' conventional recon assets and took charge of training Captain Peter Furst's Twenty-first Centauri Security Lancers infantry to use Nighthawk Mk. XXI Power Armor (Light).[1][5]
Battle Armor[edit]
John Smith was known to have piloted a suit of Nighthawk Mk. XXI PA(L), which he gained access to for himself and his unit, from working with ComStar's Explorer Corps and the Second Star League Intelligence Command Special Circumstances Division.[1]
