Star Colonel Layne Vong was an officer and MechWarrior in Clan Ghost Bear during the thirty-first century.[1][2][3][4]
History[edit]
Early Career[edit]
In the last round of her Trial of Bloodright for the Vong Bloodname, sometime before October 3050, she handily defeated a subordinate in her unit, Star Commander Linwulf. Linwulf remained resentful of her commander following this defeat, and considered avenging herself using dishonorable means.[4]
From at least 3050 to 3052, Layne Vong was a Star Captain, commanding Sixty-third Assault Trinary, Twelfth Bear Chevaliers.[2][1] In this role during Operation REVIVAL, as part of the Ghost Bears' fourth wave in October 3050, Vong and her Trinary participated with the remainder of Beta Galaxy in the conquest of Soverzene from the Draconis Combine.[1]
Third Claw[edit]
By 3061, Vong had been promoted to Star Colonel, and command of the Third Claw.[3]
