Lydia Arentsen was the commanding officer of the Alekseyevka Timbuktu Theater Militia as of 3053.[1]
History[edit]
Leftenant General Arentsen, serving with the Alekseyevka Periphery March Militia, was stationed on Alekseyevka in 3054.[2] By 3062, now-Colonel Arentsen continued to command the renamed Alekseyevka Timbuktu Theater Militia and remained stationed on Alekseyevka. Born on Tamar, Arentsen transferred to the Alekseyevka Militia after five years as a battalion commander in the Twenty-fourth Lyran Guards. Arentsen was a superb strategist and leader of men and her posting to the Militia was seen as a means of honing her skills before she would be transferred once more to command of a prestigious front-line combat unit. However, Arentsen did possess one weakness: her support for House Kelswa's call for a renewed offensive against the Clans in order to reclaim the worlds of the Tamar Pact.[1]
Arentsen and the Alekseyevka Militia did not participate in the Federated Commonwealth Civil War, although Arentsen was grateful not to have been selected for - and chewed up by - the Eleventh Arcturan Guards' battlegroup based on the Timbuktu Theater's capital.[3] After the Jihad, Arentsen remained in command of the Alekseyevka Militia on Alekseyevka by 3085.[4]
