Marc S. Birdsell was an officer of the Federated Suns and a historian.[1]

Like the many members of his family, Marc S. Birdsell would continue the long line of Birdsells who served in the famed Davion Brigade of Guards before discovering his true passion as a historian. Retaining his Archer after retirement, Marc settled on the Federated Suns capital of New Avalon to write the official biography of Hanse Davion. While not as notable as Thelos or Misha Auburn within the Lyran half of the combined Federated Commonwealth, he did become a a celebrated historian in the FedSuns half.[1]
When the Word of Blake attacked New Avalon during their Jihad, Marc S. Birdsell would fight alongside Jackson Davion's resistance forces. While assumed dead his ultimate fate in that chaotic period is unknown.[1]
BattleMech[edit]
Birdsell piloted an Archer during his time with the Davion Guards, retaining his personal 'Mech after retirement and ultimately taking it combat again during the Jihad.[1]
