Colonel Oisín Fegan was the commander of the VIII Triarii Protectors, with the Republic Remnant, from at least 3143 to 3149.[1]
History[edit]
The VIII Triarii refused Exarch Jonah Levin's call to pull back behind into Fortress Republic in the 3130s, due to their connection with Suzano, which they had defended for some time. Equally refusing to join the Republic Remnant for the same reason, Colonel Fegan finally agreed in 3143, once it had become clear the Capellan Confederation had gathered enough forces to take Suzano. Not wanting to visit a damaging battle on the population of Suzano, Fegan negotiated a peaceful withdrawal with his Capellan counterpart.[2]
The resulted in Fegan, with the VIII Triarii Protectors, being on based the Remnant world of Alhena as of 3145.[1] Remaining on Alhena until May 3149, Fegan and the VIII Triarii were ejected by 103rd Wolf Guard Striker Cluster under Star Colonel Maurice Radick.
Fegan attempted to fortify the capital of Focci's Point, using his BattleMechs and Armor to defend massive artillery batteries, however the Wolves managed to use a fast flanking maneuver to destroy the artillery and then the rest of the defenders. Few of the Fegan's VIII Triarii survived to withdraw from their disastrous loss on Alhena.[3]
