The "Hand of Starling"

The "Hand of Starling" was a conspiracy theorist show distributed on Towne's INN under the Towne Inquisitor brand from 3133 to 3134.[1]

Overview[edit]

The "Hand of Starling" was hosted by a trio calling themselves the Illuminati, the hosts going by the names Shadow, Phantom, and Wraith. The show was dedicated to investigating/speculating about matters in the Republic of the Sphere that the hosts considered suspicious. Each episode, after opening with an audience question of the week, was dedicated to a particular topic.[2]

Topics covered on the show include Irian Technologies IndustrialMech production, which the hosts speculated was a cover for Republic-affiliated BattleMech production;[2] the rumored Ghost Knights, which the hosts asserted were real and behind the Blackout;[3] the Knights of the Sphere, speculated to be the real rulers of the Republic,[4] Devlin Stone's disappearance, along with speculation about his whereabouts;[5] Sun-Tzu Liao, who the hosts speculated never died;[6] Anastasius Focht, who the hosts speculated was behind the Jihad and was possibly still alive;[7] and the possibility that Clan Wolf had a genetic sample from Kai Allard-Liao to secretly use in its breeding programs.[8]
