Robert McShane was a Federated Suns officer during the Dark Age Era involved into the Draconis Reach Campaign.

McShane enlisted into the AFFS about the year 3099, serving under Harrison Davion service. After about four decades of service, he ended commanding the Federated Suns garrison on Marlowe's Rift, in the Draconis Reach, with the rank of Colonel. There, he led the Militia effectively, defending the planet against Draconis Combine raids, and even launched some to other worlds with his forces, when he was able to.[2]

On 22 March, McShane was on Wapakoneta, where he met the baron Marcus Palm, with a regiment of the March Militia. Palm was tasked to fully integrate the Reach into the Suns by the Duke of Robinson. He asked him a report about the Battle of Marlowe's Rift (3139) and promoted to the rank of General before assigning him the task of defend the Reach against the Combine's invasion.[1]
