History
Jihad
First appeared in 3069 striking worlds of Algol & Kansu with elements of its sister unit, 16th.[1] The 17th's elements as part of Algot Task Force forced the surrender of the part under threats of nuclear strikes against the planet. However, native Kansu forces did not believe Word of Blake take force would use nuclear weapons against them. The 17th & 16th forces struck the capital of Kanau and destroyed capital along with its defending forces. Causing extensive ecological damage to the planet.
In unit was deployed to the Capellan Theater where it partipated in the 1st Battle for Sian with 24th Division in 3070. The 17th took heavy damage along with its sister Division and was forced to withdraw. However, the 17th managed return to active duty as a raiding force later where it struck in various commonalities in Confederation.
Officers
As of 3070, Commanding Officer of unit was Precentor George Sanders.[2]
Tactics
Raiding, usually consisting of two Level IIIs per raiding force.
Composition
Unknown, consist least 4 Level III prior to assault on Sian in 3070.[3]
