In the spring 2787 Minoru Kurita launched an attack on the Federated Suns involving over fifty BattleMech regiments to demonstrate the might of the Draconis Combine and support his claim to the throne as First Lord of the Inner Sphere. The first landing on Franklin was led by Minoru personally.

- The unit contains 36 omnimechs and many of the others machines were heavly upgraded. Some machines were unchanged because their are a legacy of the forefarthers.
- 101st Aerospace: Dragonkind (1 Wing Wing/Elile/Fanatical)
- The command is attached permanently to this mech unit.
- 1st Luthien Battlesuit Infantry (1 Battalion/Green/Fanatical)
- Only recently indotruced, these newcomers must fight their first battle.
